Global aviation organisation Malaysian Aviation Group (MAG) has launched a campaign titled “Fly Confidently” to raise public awareness on the health and safety measures taken by its airlines, namely Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and MASwings. Tthe campaign aims to provide passengers with a new set of infographic guidelines and resources available on each respective airline's official website and social media platforms.

The campaign was kicked off by Malaysia Airlines, which released a four-minute video entitled “Fly Confidently, Fly Malaysia” on its social media platforms. The video showcases its passengers’ journey, from contactless check-ins to a walkthrough of the enhanced safety and health measures at Malaysia Airlines’ main hub in Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The video also features safety and public health measures by Malaysia Airlines in collaboration with Malaysia Airports, Immigration, and Customs departments at several customer touchpoints, which comply to the guidelines set by international and local regulatory bodies, namely the International Civil Aviation Organisation, World Health Organisation, International Air Transport Association, and Ministry of Health of Malaysia.

In line with the campaign, Firefly handed out free limited edition “Enrich Hygiene Kits” comprising masks and hand sanitiser to all Enrich members and Firefly passengers during its recent flights from Subang to Penang, Langkawi, Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu, Johor Bahru, Kuantan, and Alor Setar. Meanwhile, Malaysia Airlines will be providing its passengers a complimentary hygiene kit, consisting of a face mask, a sachet of hand sanitiser and sanitising wipe from 15 July onward, according to Izham Ismail, CEO of Malaysia Aviation.

Izham said the campaign was introduced to educate the traveling public on the health and safety measures that the organisation had put in place to travel safely from preflight right up to arrival. He added that the campaign included a series of communication resources such as infographics, travel checklist, and advisories which were available on its website.

“The video launched today is the latest addition to our campaign and was produced in-house by our MAG talents. It details a step-by-step walkthrough of a passenger journey from home with contactless check-in via our mobile app or website, followed by the enhanced safety and health measures we have adopted at the airport and on board our flights,” Izham explained.

Separately, Malaysia airlines recently inked a multi-year content agreement with Travelport to promote its flight options through highly targeted advertising toolkits and campaigns. Under this agreement, the airline joined over 300 other airlines using Travelport's rich content and branding merchandising tool, which offered travel agencies "a rich experience" when searching for and booking branded fares.
