MAHB picks GOVT KL for brand film following four-way pitch

Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) has appointed GOVT Kuala Lumpur to create its latest brand film. The brand film will be launched around the second quarter of 2017.

Emerging as the chosen agency in a four-way pitch, the agency will be working closely with MAHB’s corporate communications department to create the film that will represent the airport’s brand and what it means to the people.

“We are really excited with this assignment because it won’t be another typical film about the airport’s facilities. Instead, we will be focusing on its travellers and their life stories,” said Casey Loh, ECD of GOVT Kuala Lumpur.

“There is so much about Malaysia Airports that the public at large aren’t aware of. We think this is the perfect opportunity to share this amazing story with them,” added Syed Nasir, head of business, GOVT Kuala Lumpur.

Most recently Malaysia Airports and Holdings (MAHB) has had its eyes on e-commerce facilities, and expects boost air travel at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Badlisham Ghazali, managing director, MAHB, in a statement to Bernama, explained that with e-commerce thriving in different parts of the world, consumers are largely inclined to shop online. Ghazali further added that MAHB will be inviting more e-commerce players to set up base in Malaysia to enable KLIA to achieve “strong growth.”
