Malaysia Airports Holdings (MAHB) has filed a police report concerning a "baseless and untrue posting" written by an individual named "VirusInMOH" on the community blog of the portal klse.i3investor.com. According to MAHB, the blog was titled “MOH sold, and Malaysia for sale? MYEG Bhd sponsored the BP Healthcare & MAHB COVID-19 scam endorsed by DG Tan Sri Noor Hisham Abdullah?” and dated 3 July 2021.

Not only are the allegations baseless and untrue, but MAHB also said they are "malicious in nature with the intention of damaging the reputation and integrity of Malaysia Airports and its group CEO". "MAHB categorically objects to the posting and the subsequent malicious comments resulting from it," it added. A check by A+M found that the post has since been removed from the portal.

Along with the police report, the company has filed a complaint with the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission, as well as issued a cease and desist letter to the owner of the portal to demand that the article be removed. It is also demanding for the author to desist from making any further statements on the matter. "We view this matter seriously as the posting has brought disrepute to our organisation and lowered our image in the eyes of the public and stakeholders," MAHB added.

Separately, Malaysia Airlines (MAB) also filed a police report against "erroneous claims on social media" in May this year after postings circulating online accused the airline of ferrying passengers from India via several of its flights. The claims came amidst Malaysia's temporary ban on entry of Indian nationals. MAB clarified in a statement that its flights between 1 to 3 May from India did not carry any passengers other than the flight crew who remained onboard during transit.
