New food magazine debuts

Magazines Integrated will launch a new magazine, Bites in July. The monthly 48-page print and online publication will be an all-encompassing eating guide for food news around Singapore, providing readers with deals and commentaries of good meals around town.

Bites will have a fully responsive online presence through social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram. Here, users can find the latest openings, video blogs, and other such food updates. A downloadable version will also be available on iPad or Android tablets.

This is Magazine Integrated’s latest food publication since the launch of Epicure in April 2010. Bites will have a print circulation of 20,000 copies, making it the highest-circulated food-focused tabloid in Singapore. It will be distributed free to a list of shopping malls, cafes, restaurants, cooking schools, country clubs, specialist clinics, hotels, car and kitchen showrooms, electronic and furnishing stores, tertiary institutions, and MRT stations.

“With the wide circulation of Bites, we are effectively reaching out to a different target of value-conscious foodies,” says its publisher Cecilia Goh. “This will benefit advertisers and promotion partners who are looking for the right avenue to reach out to the consumer market.”

In addition, in an effort to attract advertisers, the magazine will be audited after one year of publication.

The creative team behind Bites is comprised of group managing editor Adeline Wong and group creative director Thng Wee Nee. June Lee will serve as editor.
