Luckin Coffee is opening a new store at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui, following the launch of a physical store in Terminal 2 (T2) at Hong Kong International Airport.
This brings Luckin's total number of stores in the Hong Kong market to over 20, further strengthening the brand's global presence. To thank Hong Kong consumers for their support, Luckin will launch a "Lucky journey 20 stores" store-wide celebratory promotion from 26 to 29 September.
Opening by end of the month, the Avenue of Stars store is expected to become a new destination for coffee lovers and tourists, establishing itself as a new landmark for coffee consumption in Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, the airport T2 store spans over 1,000 square feet. Its decor features a retro Hong Kong ambiance, incorporating Broadway elements. It will also feature a check-in spot featuring Luckin Coffee's original IP, "Chief Luck Officer Lucky," for the first time in Hong Kong, creating a comfortable, youthful, and stylish resting space.
T2 is equipped with comprehensive smart technology to provide passengers with an efficient travel experience, and Luckin's digital payment model will provide a convenient way for travellers to refill their high-quality coffee during their busy journeys
To express gratitude and thank local consumers for their support, Luckin Coffee is launching a limited-time, "20 store celebration" promotion across all stores this week, offering gift certificates and limited-edition gifts.
Customers can simply purchase any two drinks in a single order and upload a post on Facebook, Instagram, or Xiaohongshu for a chance to receive a limited-edition gift.
Founded in 2017 and based in Xiamen, China, Luckin Coffee has been aggressively planning its global expansion. In December 2024, Luckin Coffee officially launched in Hong Kong, marking a significant milestone in its globalisation strategy.
As a key testing ground and international hub for Luckin Coffee's globalisation strategy, Hong Kong has seen robust business growth, demonstrating the success of the brand's local operating strategy and providing strong support for Luckin Coffee's vision of becoming a "world-class coffee brand."
The expansion also comes in line with the company's remarkable performance. In the first half of 2025, the company projected total revenue of RMB 21.224 billion and net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses (GAAP) of RMB 1.789 billion, representing year-on-year growth of 44.57% and 17.89%, respectively.
Luckin Coffee's global stores increased by 2,109 in the second quarter. As of 30 June 2025, the total number of stores worldwide reached 26,206, and the total number of stores in international markets increased to 89, covering Singapore, Malaysia and the US.
