Lowe Profero appoints McElvain to Asia strategy role

Lowe Profero, the global digital network of Lowe and Partners, has appointed digital media specialist Ed McElvain (pictured) to the newly created position of media strategy director for the Asia-Pacific region.

The news follows the announcement of Phil Ely’s promotion to Lowe Profero APAC Head of Communications in February of this year.

Effective immediately, the role will see McElvain work closely with Phil to oversee Lowe Profero’s media performance clients and products across APAC. Ed will be based in Lowe Profero’s Shanghai offices with a view to expanding the agency’s integrated media offering across the region.

Prior to this role Ed held the position of digital planning director for JWT Shanghai, having previously held a number of senior media roles for Profero in North America.

Lowe Profero’s APAC head of communications Phil Ely said Ed was an amazing talent that he was excited to welcome back into the Lowe Profero fold.

“Clients are repeatedly requesting an integrated creative, technology and media offering, and Ed’s appointment offers a great addition to our already comprehensive brand,” he said.

“I really enjoyed working with Ed in New York on clients like Western Union so when the opportunity presented itself to bring him back into the company to help develop our media offering in APAC, we jumped at it. Ed is a fantastic addition to an already strong team in the region,” he added.

Ed McElvain Lowe Profero’s APAC media strategy director said an extensive Asia-Pacific network offered the ideal opportunity to create a strong media offering.

“It’s great to be coming back to Lowe Profero at such an exciting time for the business,” he said.

“The team has already made great strides in building the APAC media offering. We now have a presence in every major economic center in the region and I’m really excited to help write the next chapter in Lowe Profero’s ongoing Asian success story,” he added.
