Lou Dela Pena is departing from Publicis Communications Singapore, the group confirmed to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE. A spokesperson said, “Publicis Groupe can confirm that Lou Dela Pena has tendered her resignation to take a break and focus on personal matters.”

Meanwhile, Dela Pena (pictured) did not comment on the news at the time of writing.

Dela Pena has been the CEO of Publicis Worldwide Singapore, Saatchi and Saatchi Singapore, Leo Burnett Singapore, MSL Group Singapore, Luminous and Prodigious Singapore, Publicis Healthcare, and ARC for over seven years. Under Dela Pena’s guidance, Publicis has won many notable clients and worked with brands such as Scoot, Audi, BMW, HPB, Abbott, Disney, Emirates, McDonald's and Mazda and many others.

In 2017, Publicis Singapore came up on top as the undisputed champion of the MARKies Awards Singapore, taking home both the ‘Overall Creative Ideas MARKie Award’ and the ‘Overall Media Usage MARKie Award,’ covering the awards two main sections. This came down to their trophy haul of nine gold, three silver and four bronze awards across many categories mainly for Scoot and Audi campaigns.

In a 2014 interview with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Dela Pena said that under her leadership, she hopes that the agency in Singapore is known for “leading the change in order to create sustainable growth for clients.  "And this means helping our clients in their marketing transformation. To achieve this, talent and passion are key and that is why the agency is constantly on the lookout for the right people who are aligned with its vision,” she said.

Prior to her time with Publicis, Dela Pena spent close to eight years with TBWA, out of which she held the role of GM for three years. She also spent close to three years as global group account director at TBWA and two years as new business director.
