Underwear and lingerie brand Triumph has apologised for its recent Father’s Day ad.
The company drew some flak for its distasteful Fatherâ€™s Day ad found in a Sri Lankan newspaper which promotes a 15% discount on bras on 21 June â€“ Fatherâ€™s Day – with the tagline â€śFor the ladies…who pamper their dads..!â€ť
This, unsurprisingly, drew criticism on social media with netizens blasting the brand for its inappropriate suggestions.

Following this fiasco, Triumph International Sri Lanka issued a press statement explaining that the ad was written in haste and was not vetted before it was sent to the press. The brand also apologised for its “major lapse of judgement and process.”
