LG settles creative, PR duties

Singapore – Following a pitch that took place in November for its communications duties, LG Electronics has appointed The Secret Little Agency(TSLA) and Strategic Public Relations Group(SPRG) for its creative and public relations duties respectively.A spokesperson from LG Electronics confirmed the appointment to Marketing, also saying that the local digital business is still under review and a decision for that should emerge by next month.The contracts for TSLA and SPRG are for a year until December 2013. The spokesperson declined to reveal the size of the account as well as the shortlists of agencies involved in the pitch.TSLA is in charge of retail activation and above-the-line executions for LG's brand campaigns and product launches.TSLA also confirmed the appointment, saying that has begun work on the account and first work is expected to break in the first quarter of 2013.Globally, Young & Rubicam holds the LG account in several markets including Australia, London, America, Thailand and India.Last year, LG restructured its regional operations, splitting its operations between Singapore and Korea.LG Electronics' product ranges include home electronics, home appliances, televisions and mobile devices.
