Lenovo’s comms lead heads to boutique firm

Boutique PR firm SG Story has appointed former Lenovo communications lead Aaron Kong as partner and director.

Kong will be working with Adeline Lee, founder and managing partner of SG Story to expand the company’s client base in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Kong (pictured) will serve as a senior counsel and point of contact for clients and partners.

Prior to Lenovo, he was a business leader in the corporate communications team for Visa, a global payments technology company and handled PR across South Asia and Southeast Asia.

He has had 13 years of agency and in-house marketing and public relations experience working with brands such as brands including Adobe, Avaya, Cisco, Dell, Intel, Lenovo, Phillips, Nokia, Visa and Yahoo! SEA.

“We are starting to see increasing demand for PR and marketing services as brands move towards working with independent agencies,” Lee said.

SG Story opened in June 2012 and provides strategic counsel and programme execution services that span across various communications disciplines. Services include marketing communications, media relations, investor relations, analyst relations, issues management, digital strategies and CEO and corporate reputation management.

SG Story’s client portfolio include EpiCentre Holdings Limited, Guthrie Properties, Jurong Point Shopping Centre, NEC Asia Pacific, Sennheiser Singapore amongst others.
