LEGO is making playtime more accessible across Malaysia with its new campaign, "Bina bersama, cipta cerita" ("Build together, create stories"), in partnership with eCommerce platform Shopee Malaysia. The initiative encourages families and friends to “Bina bersama” and “Cipta cerita”, building more than just bricks, but memories and stories together.

Through the LEGO official shop on Shopee Mall, fans nationwide can shop 100% authentic LEGO sets, delivered "lagi cepat" (faster) to their doorsteps. First-time buyers also enjoy an 11% discount on selected sets until 31 December 2025, making the campaign both accessible and "lagi murah" (cheaper).

A global survey conducted by LEGO of over 32,000 respondents, including 1,009 parents and 551 children in Malaysia, revealed a tension between aspiration and pressure: 97% of parents want their children to build more, yet 72% of children feel worried about making mistakes.

The campaign takes this insight as a rallying call, encouraging Malaysians to build freely, whether following set instructions or exploring their imagination. Participants from different states reported discovering new creative confidence, while the process fostered stronger bonds among families and friends.

Ahead of Malaysia Day on 16 September 2025, the campaign highlights creations that celebrate local pride. Featured sets include the "LEGO medium creative brick box", the "LEGO DUPLO brick box", and multiple 3-in-1 creator sets that allow builders to make three variations from the same bricks.

From cute options such as the "LEGO creator 3-in-1 cute bunny and playful cat" to wilder choices such as the" Wild animals: Panda family" set and the Shopee-exclusive "Wild animals: Majestic rhino with birds", the campaign offers something for every builder. Artsy and floral enthusiasts can also enjoy the "Retro camera", "Typewriter with flowers", "Happy plants", and "Pretty pink flower bouquet" sets.

Shopee Malaysia is also running a nationwide social media contest from 3 to 19 September. Fans can comment on the campaign post with their imagined LEGO creations representing their home state.

Previous submissions have included Malaysia’s map featuring its multicultural races, Sarawak’s traditional musical instruments, and the Tugu Negara (National Monument). Six winners will receive exclusive LEGO sets, encouraging new stories and shared experiences.

This isn’t LEGO’s first collaboration in Malaysia. In June, the group teamed up with IKEA Malaysia to bring a playful twist to home decor at The Exchange TRX. The “LEGO Home” activation transformed the mall’s Central Exchange space into an immersive house tour, where visitors explored themed interiors styled by IKEA and decorated with LEGO brick builds.

The event encouraged shoppers to reimagine their living spaces with creativity and playfulness at the heart of it. Beyond the mall, curated LEGO home decor setups were displayed at IKEA showrooms in Damansara, Batu Kawan, and Tebrau, demonstrating how LEGO sets can be styled into everyday living spaces for a playful yet practical touch.
