Lazada gets on WeChat to lure customers

WeChat has collaborated with Lazada, Southeast Asia’s online shopping portal, to launch the latter’s official account in Singapore.

Martell Hardenberg, CEO of Lazada Singapore said: “With over 50% of our traffic coming in from our mobile platforms, we are constantly looking for ways to enhance our customers’ mobile experience.”

“WeChat has been evolving to encompass services beyond that of a simple messaging platform, and we are thrilled to come on board and add to this diverse experience WeChat is crafting around its users.”

Lazada and WeChat are offering fans exclusive discounts and deals, starting with Lazada’s biggest sale of the year – 12/12! On 12 December – 12 days before Christmas Eve – Lazada will be offering shoppers 24 hours of promotions and exclusive deals across a wide range of categories.
