Klook has partnered with GCash to launch the GCash Klook Travel Card, set for ordering this December. The new debit card, powered by Visa, combines Klook’s travel expertise with GCash’s expansive cashless ecosystem, and is accepted in over 200 countries worldwide.

Upon activation, cardholders immediately unlock a Welcome Pack loaded with essential travel vouchers, including 1x free airport transfer voucher, 1x free Klook eSIM voucher, and 1x free Klook hotel voucher.

Additionally, users gain an automatic upgrade to Klook Rewards Gold Tier, valued at over 6,000 pesos (US$102) annually. The premium status grants ongoing perks such as bonus coupons, free eSIM access, priority customer support, and the ability to earn KlookCash at three times the usual rate on all eligible bookings.

“Travellers can soon travel while maximising value, convenience, and savings on their trip!” said Klook Philippines.

Combined, the Welcome Pack and Gold Tier perks deliver over 10,000 pesos (US$169) in travel savings in the first year alone, excluding continuous savings from reduced transaction costs.

The card maintains all the standard benefits of a GCash Card, designed for international use: no FX fees and low forex rates for global spending; accepted in over 200 countries, including online purchases, in-store POS transactions, and international ATM withdrawals; and one-tap payment and 24/7 ATM access, with local fees starting at 10 pesos (US$0.16).

To celebrate the launch, the first 10,000 users can secure the card for a promotional fee of 250 pesos (US$4.23). The card will be delivered directly to the user’s registered address upon purchase. Travellers can sign up for the waitlist via the Klook app to be among the first notified when ordering opens.

Cardholders can track their transactions via the GCash app, while Klook-specific rewards are managed within the Klook app under “Promo Codes” and “Klook Rewards.”

With this collaboration, GCash and Klook aim to redefine travel spending for Filipino adventurers, making every trip smoother, more rewarding, and cost-efficient. This comes as Klook noted an increase in Filipinos’ travel plans, with 98.5% intending to travel domestically and 56.3% planning international trips over the next year.

Recently, GCash also launched GCash Pera Outlet Plus, a dedicated merchant app that transforms sari-sari stores and other community-based retail shops into local hubs for digital financial services, including cash-in, cash-out, load purchases, and bill payments. The platform helps store owners earn additional income through commissions while offering tools to manage high-volume transactions and serve their communities more efficiently.

With the launch of Google Pay in the Philippines, GCash can also now be linked to Google’s secure payment platform. Users can connect by downloading the Google Wallet app, linking their GCash account, completing biometric verification, and signing in to Google Pay. Once activated, GCash can fund transactions without sharing card details.
