Klareco Communications has bolstered its leadership team by bringing on board Yvonne Koh (pictured left) and Prisita Menon (pictured right) as senior directors. Both will undergo a formal partner appointment process, with a view to providing insight-driven communciations counsel and reputation management for in-country, regional and international remits.

Prior to her new role, Koh was Asia Pacific head of communications at PayPal, managing director of SEA at MSL Singapore, and senior VP at MSL's New York office. She has led both agency and in-house teams and her industry experience includes fintech, consumer packaged goods, retail, lifestyle, and travel, among others.

“I look forward to working with our clients to navigate the complex communications landscape in an age where digital transformation, disruption, and change are often the only constants," Koh said. She added that her previous experiences working with Klareco have made her appreciate its  international mindedness, regional outlook, and local expertise in providing the high-level counsel that in-house communications experts need.

"The Klareco team were a valuable asset to me when I was in-house, and it will be fulfilling for me to return the favour as I work with our consultants, who are the next generation of communications professionals," she added.

Meanwhile, Menon has 13 years of communications experience in both in-house and agency roles. She was most recently the head of Cognito Singapore, where she was responsible for laying the firm's foundational focus for its clients and expanding the team. She also worked at Ministry of Manpower for four years, where she oversaw inter-governmental initiatives and worked closely with advertising agencies to drive awareness campaigns. Earlier on in her career at Ogilvy, Menon worked on public and corporate sector 360 campaigns.

“I am thrilled to be taking Klareco to the next level along with the team. In this rapidly evolving business environment, we see more firms valuing, future-proofing, and protecting their corporate and brand reputations. There is an increasing demand for trusted agency partners that understand the client’s business and industry as well. Our clients entrust us with their assets, and I look forward to nurturing our clients’ reputation and communications methods with Klareco’s heritage and strategic counsel," Menon said.

Meanwhile, Klareco Communications CEO Ang Shih-Huei said that as the agency expands its presence in the region, it is important to continue bringing to its clients the strategic counsel required for international firms seeking to deepen their Asia footprint, and to navigate on behalf of Asia-based companies that are extending their international reach.

"I am also excited to bolster our senior leadership and create a platform for talent that leverages our culture of entrepreneurship to pursue exciting opportunities, and to deliver creative solutions for our clients," Ang added.
