Kids clothing resale platform Retykle expands to SG targetting eco-conscious shoppers
share on
Children’s clothing, gear and toys resale platform Retykle has expanded its business from Hong Kong to Singapore as its first foreign operation. With the expansion, Singapore-based shoppers can now sell and purchase online, while a physical studio enables customers to drop off their outgrown clothes. Shoppers can also check out curated items at the store.
Retykle boasts over 2500 childrenswear brands, including Bonpoint, Jacadi, Petit Bateau, Stella McCartney, Ralph Lauren and Burberry, catering for kids up to 14 years old. “With its growing appetite for eco-conscious fashion and lifestyle choices, Singapore was a natural second market for Retykle. We are looking forward to empowering parents to conveniently reduce children’s fashion waste by transforming the way they shop," said Sarah Garner, founder of Retykle.
To help protect the environment, Retykle has also developed a carbon savings calculator to help users understand their carbon savings and impact by shopping secondhand with Retykle.
In addition, the brand offers a selection of maternity wear. To offer a smooth purchasing process, buyers can book a free home pick up as the brand believes that it is the most convenient way to clean out kids' closets, earn cash rebates and buy quality pre-loved items at up to 90% off. When an item sells, sellers can choose to receive 50% commission in cash, 55% as store credit or they can donate their earnings to one of Retykle’s local charity partners. In addition, items that do not meet Retykle’s quality and brand standards can be donated to charity or returned to the seller, ensuring that everything remains in circulation and out of landfill.
Retykle said every item listed for sale has undergone thorough inspection to meet Retykle’s quality and authentication standards. Free local shipping is applicable to orders over SG$50.
Established in 2016, Retykle boasts a vision to build a circular fashion company that positively impacts the environment, parents' lives and the community. Since its inception, over 150,000 products have been recirculated through Retykle.
