Kat Von D Beauty names PR partner for SEA market

Kat Von D Beauty has appointed communications agency W Asia, as its PR partner for Southeast Asia. The agency will manage Kat Von D Beauty's PR activities across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand for a period of 12 months on a contract basis.

Kat Von D Beauty is among the portfolio of brands that Kendo Holdings, a brand developer, manages including Marc Jacobs Beauty and Ole Henriksen.

In a statement to Marketing, a spokesperson for the company said a pitch for the account was held earlier this year, and this was the first time Kendo hired an agency for the beauty brand in Southeast Asia. W Asia is currently managing Kat Von D's one-year anniversary event scheduled to take place in July.

"We look forward to further showcasing Kat Von D Beauty’s high impact, long-wearing, cruelty-free formulas and best-selling beauty products with them as our PR partner in the region."

This win comes after W Asia was appointed by Park Hotel Group to launch the new Park Hotel Farrer Park in Singapore. Among the list of clients the agency works with include Ce La Vi, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Hooters and Happn.
