K11 ARTUS appoints Christopher Sommers as general manager

New World Development’s K11 ARTUS, a luxury residence concept set to open in summer 2019 at Victoria Dockside, has appointed Christopher Sommers as general manager. He will bring his global hospitality expertise, project management skills and 17 years of industry experience to his new role.Throughout his career, Sommers has been focusing on operating and launching luxury properties around the globe, from the US and Portugal to Russia and China. Prior to joining K11 ARTUS, Sommers has worked as general manager at the Ritz-Carlton Haikou where he oversaw the pre-opening and operation of the brands first golf resort in China.During his four-year stint at the Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou, the hotel earned a five-star rating from the Forbes Travel Guide under his leadership.
