Tencent's music streaming platform JOOX has introduced a new programme to enable users to interact with international singers.

The programme, International Express, invites a number of up-and-coming international artists to interact with their fans in Asia, such as American singer-songwriter Jeremy Zucker, UK singer-songwriter Griff and Northern Irish singer-songwriter JC Stewart. They will host live sessions where they perform their songs, chat with fans, share their music inspirations and showcase their music studios or homes.

In collaboration with Sony Music, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music Group, the programme enables users in Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Myanmar to get free passes to watch their favourite music celebrities online.

"We are excited to be co-producing exclusive and original content with international idols for the first time, which will surely hype up music fans across the region," said Poshu Yeung, VP of Tencent International Business Group.

This month, six international singers will be featured in the programme. More singers will be confirmed later for programmes in September.

“JOOX users have varied and diverse music tastes, and they highly appreciate the artistry of their favourite music acts from around the world. This not only enhances our users’ entertainment experience, but also further solidifies JOOX as Asia’s most dedicated platform that delivers only the best content," Yeung added.
