
Regent HK names integrated marketing and comms lead

Regent Hong Kong has appointed Jenny Chung as director of integrated marketing and communications. Prior to her latest position, Chung was brand director of Peninsula Merchandising at the Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels from November 2019 to January 2022. She also boasts experience in consumer brands. She worked for L’OCCITANE Group as marketing director of Travel Retail for Asia from July 2018 to October 2019, and Godiva as associate marketing and merchandising director for HK and APAC.
She was also marketing manager of Estée Lauder from March 2014 to August 2017. In this position, she developed marketing and promotion strategies to drive short-term sales targets and long-term brand growth and development. Chung worked closely with distribution counterparts, including department stores and perfumeries, on counter setup and joint promotions to maximise brand presence in-store. She was also responsible for exploring new distributions opportunities in various locations to expand the brand’s footprint.
In the early stage of her career, Chung worked for Leo Burnett, where she was associate account director. She was responsible for leading the account servicing team and supervising key accounts such as Procter & Gamble, managing and implementing integrated communication plans along with partner companies, including PR, online, events, media and production agencies for extensive and maximum business-building results.
Chung positions herself as a results-oriented leader with a strong business background, including in-depth experience in marketing and advertising. Also, she boasts experience in integrated marketing s development and strategic brand planning with an APA and Greater China perspective.
Chung joined the company this February. According to the website of Regent Hong Kong, the hotel boasts is designed by Hong Kong designer Lo Chi-wing and boasts serene and soul-rejuvenating aesthetics. Previously Intercontinental Hong Kong, the hotel closed its doors on 20 April 2020 and has since been undergoing renovation. Intercontinental Hong Kong was operated by Britain-based InterContinental Hotels Group. After completing the renovation, the hotel will be renamed to Regent Hong Kong – its original brand since its debut in 1980 – until 2001 when InterContinental Hotels Group took over its operations. The renovation includes the hotel’s facade to all guest rooms, suites, public areas, function rooms, and restaurants, according to the group.
