Iris Singapore has appointed Yashas Mitta (pictured left) and Uni Lee (pictured right) as deputy creative director and senior creative respectively. Mitta will work on Samsung and report to executive creative director Ed Cheong, while Lee will work on Starbucks and report to deputy creative director Cheng Shu Yau.
Mitta was previously creative director of MediaMonks Singapore. According to his LinkedIn, Mitta also worked at 22feet Tribal Worldwide and Creativeland Asia in India. Meanwhile, Lee was senior art director at TBWA\. He also worked at BBH for approximately two years, according to his LinkedIn.
The agency also appointed Yasee Poh (pictured centre) as senior visual designer to strengthen its growing design department. She reports to design lead Jenson Lee. The appointments follow a series of new account wins over the last several months including Tiffany & Co, Lagardere Sports and the extensive regional growth of Starbucks.
“With distinctly different expertise and points of view, we’re thrilled to welcome Mitta, Lee and Poh into the creative family. Intelligent and inquisitive, the talented trio will definitely inject their personalities into our creative work. Off the back of our recent pitch wins, there will be plenty of opportunities to say the least,” Cheong said.
In May this year, the agency hired Natalia Tan and Simone Raspagni as business directors, and Cheryl Cheong as the associate account director. Tan is tasked to lead the new and growing Starbucks relationship with a focus on expansion from digital into customer and retail experience. Meanwhile, Raspagni is focusing on the growth and management of two of the agency’s cornerstone clients Samsung and Lego. Cheong is currently responsible for driving creative and strategic excellence across Chang and MBS.
Last year, the agency underwent a global rebrand and launched a new proposition “For the Forward”, which focuses on streamlining and strengthening its multi-specialist network offering for clients.
