IPG Mediabrands has promoted Ava Lee (pictured) to director of client services for Hong Kong, reporting to Penny Chow, chief operating officer of IPG Mediabrands Greater China.

In this newly created role, Lee will serve as the strategic bridge between clients and the agencies, deepening trust and strengthening integration across disciplines. A spokesperson from IPG Mediabrands told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that Lee will lead the account servicing team from its full-service creative agency Mediabrands Content Studio (MBCS), and SOCIETY.

Lee will also work hand-in-hand with the media team at IPG Mediabrands to deliver fully integrated, high-impact solutions as "One IPGMB" - an ethos where teams converge, expertise is shared, and clients benefit from the collective strength of our network. Lee’s mandate is to champion this collaborative spirit in every engagement, driving long-term partnerships, aligning business goals with creative ambition, and ensuring that IPG Mediabrands' integrated approach shines through in every client experience, according to the spokesperson.

Before her promotion, Lee was the business director for Hong Kong and Taiwan at MBCS. Previously, she held the position of group account director for the same regions at MBCS. Prior to that, Lee spent over four years at SOCIETY Hong Kong and Taiwan, where she served as senior account director, account director, and associate account director. She was the account lead for key clients, including The Coca-Cola Company, Disney+, Estée Lauder, L'Oréal, Nike, and Pizza Hut.

Meanwhile, IPG Mediabrands has promoted Kenny Wong from group account director to business director. He will be a key driving force within Lee’s team, reinforcing the agency’s commitment to strong business development and deepening partnerships with its clients, according to the spokesperson.

“Lee’s promotion is a testament to her ability to inspire trust, unite teams, and elevate our work. Her leadership will be instrumental in bringing our ‘One IPGMB’ vision to life - where collaboration fuels creativity, and every solution is shaped with the client’s growth at heart. I’m confident she will help set new benchmarks for integrated excellence, said Chow.

“For me, account servicing has always been about more than timelines and deliverables - it’s about putting client service at the heart of everything, and knowing our clients well enough to anticipate and meet their needs. I’m excited for the opportunity to help shape what’s next, building a culture where strong relationships and collaboration drive the great work we deliver together,” Lee said.
