Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) has officially opened registration for IDCamp 2025, the latest edition of its long-running coding scholarship programme aimed at building the next generation of tech talent across Indonesia.
Launched in 2019, IDCamp has already reached more than 380,000 participants, produced 120,000 graduates, and contributed an estimated IDR 680 billion (US$40 million) to the economy through higher income and productivity among alumni. The programme has also seen significant uptake in AI, with more than 136,000 Indonesians having received training in the field.
“Digital talent is the cornerstone of Indonesia’s transformation in the global era. That’s why at Indosat we are committed to equipping 2 million talents with AI capabilities, ensuring they are ready to shape the future. With the strong support of our partner ecosystem, including NVIDIA, Cisco, UiPath, Mastercard, Google, and many others, this commitment is already in motion through the launch of IDCamp,” said Vikram Sinha, president director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.

“By providing inclusive access to digital learning, we are not only enhancing individual competitiveness but also strengthening Indonesia’s position in the global digital economy, in line with our larger purpose of empowering Indonesia,” Sinha added.
Participation is free and open to young Indonesians across the archipelago. Applicants simply register online, select their preferred class, and gain access to training designed to meet industry demand.
This year, the programme introduces two new AI-focused tracks: AI Development Track, training participants for roles such as AI engineer, MLOps engineer, generative AI engineer, and data scientist; and AI Integration Track, which helps developers integrate AI into Android, multi-platform, front-end, and back-end applications.
In addition, bonus learning modules in Cybersecurity (Cisco) and Automation (UiPath) will be available, while IDCamp Bootcamp extends inclusive AI education to persons with disabilities, educators, and journalists. Hybrid events under IDCamp Connect will also be held in Riau, Samarinda, and Purwokerto.
The programme’s impact is evident in alumni such as Handi Sutriyan from Kebumen, who leveraged his data scientist training to improve data quality at Indonesia’s meteorology, climatology, and geophysics agency (BMKG). His work has helped strengthen disaster warning systems and enhance transport safety.
With Indonesia’s AI market projected to reach US$2.4 billion by 2025 and an estimated 9 million digital professionals needed by 2030, initiatives such as IDCamp are increasingly vital. Indosat’s long-term vision is to ensure equitable access to digital skills while preparing a workforce ready to compete on both national and global stages.
