Indonesian eSports team BOOM hands Grey brand and social duties

ESports organisation Beast On Our Mind (BOOM) has appointed Grey Indonesia for brand and social consultancy services following a pitch. According to Grey’s spokesperson, the agency’s creative thinking and approach in tackling BOOM’s journey to business growth gave it an edge in the pitch process.

Established in 2016, BOOM is one of Indonesia’s first multidivisional eSports organisations born from a belief that there is an insatiable, hungry beast in everyone, waiting to be unleashed. BOOM has made it its personal mission to search and coach the most promising talent and to “awaken that beast” to dominate the world stage in professional gaming. It currently has more than 100 achievements under its belt and its Dota 2 division, the only Indonesia team, has gone on to compete on the international stage.

BOOM’s CEO Gary Ongko Putera said: “We believe that the beast insides us plays a crucial role in all of life’s successes, and we strongly believe that Grey, like us, with their ‘Famously Effective’ mantra will ensure we get maximum brand impact in the eSports industry locally, and even globally.”

Subbaraju Alluri, CEO of Grey Indonesia and Thailand added that with eSports recognised as a professional competitive sport in Indonesia, and soon to be an official medal sport at the 2022 Asian Games, the agency is excited to take BOOM’s brand name to even greater heights.”
