Global online trading platform IG Group has appointed Tina Gupta as head of marketing for Singapore as it looks to accelerate growth in the market.
In her new role, Gupta will lead the Singapore marketing team, driving customer acquisition, retention, engagement and revenue across the customer lifecycle. She will also support the company's commercial growth strategy as IG continues investing in its people, products and technology.
In a LinkedIn post announcing her appointment, Gupta said she is excited by the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that is "constantly building, testing and evolving", adding that the role will help shape the next stage of her professional journey.

Speaking to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Gupta said the appointment comes at a pivotal stage of the business' growth.
"IG is at the helm of organisational transformation and exponential growth. The company is making sizeable investments in people, product and technology. IG Singapore wanted to engage a seasoned marketer to not just lead the department but help shape and catapult the market into the vision they hold," she said.
Gupta added that she is looking forward to helping build the business in Singapore. "I'd say it is the opportunity to be a part of building the Singapore business. IG is young, agile and evolving very quickly. To be a part of this journey and have a chance to make meaningful contribution excites me the most," she said.
"Having worked for mature businesses in the past, I really value the entrepreneurial mindset this role might build," added Gupta.
Gupta joins IG Group from JLL, where she served as head of marketing for Asia Pacific, leading regional marketing strategy for the firm's Capital Markets business. Prior to that, she spent over seven years at American Express in Singapore, driving growth and performance marketing initiatives, after previously establishing the Financial Times' B2B marketing function across Asia
When asked what lessons she plans to bring into the role, Gupta said every organisation, team and leader she has worked with has shaped the professional she is today. Among the many lessons she has learnt throughout her career, she said she will lean most on being "a commercially astute marketer and a people-first leader" as she takes on her new position.
The move follows a series of senior marketing appointments across the financial services sector. In May, UOB named former Lazada Group CMO Marcus Chew as managing director, group retail marketing, while DBS appointed former VML APAC co-CEO Audrey Kuah to lead its group marketing and communications function earlier this year
