The Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC) has launched a catchy new theme song featuring The Chin Family characters. The engaging approach aims to arouse public interest and encourage people to pay more attention to their finances. The new theme song comes with a music video featuring members of The Chin Family in a variety of commonly-encountered scenarios in people’s daily lives. These include typical financial concerns such as overspending, providing for one’s family, investing wisely, and retirement planning, all of which form an integral part of financial planning considerations.   [embed]https://vimeo.com/325358857[/embed] “We want The Chin Family to be the go-to source to help people from all walks of life learn about money matters in order to make well-informed financial decisions,” said David Kneebone, general manager, IFEC. “What better way to raise awareness of this important topic than through the use of popular digital and social media channels where people would be more inclined to share with their friends and families.” The new theme song has been released online on Facebook and Youtube, and also through IFEC’s outreach activities when The Chin Family mascots dance and engage with the audience at events. In addition, a new set of WhatsApp stickers are available for the public. Jill Tan, head of communications and resources, IFEC, said, “This is a popular medium to communicate that appeals to people of all ages, young or old.  We think that having WhatsApp stickers with lively messages on money matters can help raise awareness of day-to-day money management. People can remind and encourage each other on money matters and have a bit of fun with our stickers.”
