HSBC Life has launched a “Badminton Experience Tour” by hosting a series of interactive badminton-themed activities across Hong Kong. The tour will run from July to November in six locations including Mong Kok, Lok Fu, Sau Mau Ping, Tin Shui Wai, and Stanley. This campaign has been created in partnership with global brand experience agency Jack Morton. Running under the tagline banner of “Behind every racquet is a sincere promise”, it’s been designed to promote local health and wellness through sports activations and promote engagement with the HSBC life brand.Experiences on the tour have been split into three “zones”; namely a Shuttle Speed Challenge, a Racquet Makeover, and a Drop Shot Challenge. In the Shuttle Speed Challenge, participants will test their smash speed with specially-created racquets, equipped with speed sensors to capture speed scores. These scores will be posted on a leaderboard at each roadshow, with rewards given out to the final top-five ranked players in November.Meanwhile, the Racquet Makeover station will allow visitors to design their own racquet, and the Drop Shot Challenge station will provide a chance for them to test their badminton aiming skills. The tour kicked off in Mong Kok on 11 July with an array of badminton activities, as well as the appearance of some of the world’s top professional badminton players. These include current world number three and 2017 BWF World Championships men’s singles champion, Viktor Axelsen, and Hong Kong’s highest-ranked women’s singles badminton player, Cheung Ngan-Yi. The next activation will take place from 17 to 18 August at Lok Fu Place in Wang Tau Hom.“We’re thrilled to partner with HSBC Life this year to bring the Badminton Experience Tour to life, with an activation platform that will brighten up and engage Hong Kong communities. It’s a great opportunity to encourage active lifestyles and healthier living,” said Natalie Ackerman, EVP of Greater China at Jack Morton Worldwide.
