HSBC and A.S. Watson Group partner for more perks in rewards

HSBC has strengthened its ties with A.S. Watson Group through the partnership for HSBC Visa Platinum Card cardholders and MoneyBack members. Consumers can enjoy rewards by spending at all PARKnSHOP Group, Watsons and Fortress in Hong Kong.

The new partnership will enable MoneyBack VIP members to earn 6x MoneyBack Points and 4x for non-VIP MoneyBack members by spending with HSBC Visa Platinum Card and at those brands. Moreover, there will be an instant discount of up to 8% for online and in-store shopping at these merchants on designated dates. To enjoy the benefits, HSBC Visa Platinum Card customers can link their card to the MoneyBack mobile app.

In addition to the discounts, cardholders will enjoy a range of services, including free delivery, free experience on Watsons' beauty service and registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner consultation service, as well as birthday offers at PARKnSHOP, Watsons and Fortress.

Since 2019, nearly 100,000 users have made instant rewards conversion between HSBC Credit Card Reward Cash and ASW’s MoneyBack points," said Amy Kam, head of cards and personal lending, wealth and personal banking, Hong Kong, HSBC.

"It is a strong testament to the popularity and wide acceptance of MoneyBack points in the everyday life of our cardholders. The new partnership offers enhanced benefits and privileges, delivered through our well-established digital journeys to ensure a seamless and rewarding shopping experience for customers," she added.

To kick off the new partnership, both brands are offering cash coupons or rebates of up to HK$400 customers who shop at ParknShop, Watsons and Fortress.

Watsons has been expanding its business this year. In January, it opened up a new store in Doha, the capital city of Qatar. The new store spans near 3,000 square feet, featuring new zones including the "Natural and Clean Beauty" areas which showcase the brand's sustainable choices products. The store also has an open makeup area, enabling customers to try out different looks and play around with a wide range of the latest and trendiest colour cosmetics.
