Shangri-La Group's hotel brand JEN has extended its partnership with 8traordinary as its regional social media agency for another year until December 2022. The extension marks their second year of partnership, under which 8traordinary will continue to provide social media strategy and management, content planning, campaign management and creative services to JEN.

“We have had a blast partnering with JEN last year and are excited to be able to extend this partnership into 2022! At 8traordinary, we believe that branding and marketing of hotels and resorts should be about the destinations, the experiences and the community," said Jeffrey Lim, founder and managing director of 8traordinary.  He added, "We love the opportunity to work with like-minded brands like JEN in redefining the New Asia experience across more than eight cities in Asia through various stories and campaigns on social media."

Currently operating in Beijing, Hong Kong, Johor, Maldives, Manila, Penang, Shenyang and Singapore, the brand is planning to launch a hotel in Shenzhen later this year. The brand said after its rebranding in Q4 2020, JEN has evolved to be the face of New Asia and embodies Asian hospitality through the building of communities and sharing of experiences.

“It has been amazing and fruitful working with 8traordinary. They understood our brand, our target audience, the trends and have helped us create relevant content and campaigns to achieve our desired results," said Kevin Siew, vice president of JEN.

Last year, JEN jumped on the growing hype of NFTs and unveiled a giveaway of an NFT art piece featuring Bruce Lee. In an Instagram post, the brand encouraged consumers to participate in the giveaway by tagging a friend and following its Instagram page. The giveaway spanned across eight cities where JEN has a presence.

The post was done in collaboration with 8traordinary. In a statement to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Lim said: "NFTs have opened up new possibilities and opportunities for artists, brands and those who are in the creative industry. It is transforming how the world contributes and values art. I believe NFTs are here to stay and am excited to kickstart this ever-evolving journey with JEN, a trendsetter in Asia."

Asia is contributing some of the best social media work in today's marketing and as such, MARKETING-INTERACTIVE is pleased to present Hashtag Asia to you. As Asia’s first dedicated social media award show, Hashtag Asia seeks to honor and recognise the best social media work from Asia.
