Hootsuite has inked a global partnership with Pinterest, integrating the social media platform to its own. As part of the strategic partnership, Hootsuite will be listed as one of Pinterest’s content marketing partners.
This sees Hootsuites users being able to collaboratively and securely schedule and publish visual content directly to owned Pinterest boards, in addition to existing platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn among others. Furthermore, through Hootsuite Impact, users will also be able to measure their Pinterest account growth, and analyse the performance of individual pins as part of their integrated marketing strategy and associate campaigns.
The move follows the trends uncovered by the Hootsuite's 2018 Social Trends Report showcasing the growing importance of the use of images to engage customers and followers. According to Penny Wilson, CMO of Hootsuite, the visual appeal of Pinterest has proven to be a strong e-commerce sales driver for consumer and lifestyle brands.
“We’re excited to bring to life the full native integration of Pinterest into the Hootsuite platform to empower organizations to harness the power of human connection with their customers at scale. Our strategic partnership with Pinterest advances Hootsuite’s industry leadership to help customers, large and small, to strategically grow their brands, businesses, and customer relationships with social,” Wilson added.
Earlier this year, Hootsuite had also announced a close integration with Instagram. Marketers are thus able to schedule and publish on Instragram directly through the dashboard.
