Honor Malaysia makes another e-commerce push, launches own portal

Honor Malaysia has launched its official e-commerce platform and information portal. Called hihonor, the website looks to connect fans and customers under one platform and also make the brand’s products more accessible.Hihonor will also be the official news portal for all news related to honor, which includes information on future launches, campaigns and promotions, seen via the website’s Wall function, explained Zhao Zhiwei, head of honor Malaysia, in a statement.To promote the new portal, honor Malaysia is also launching a campaign called “7uly Madness Offers” comprising promotional deals which allow customers to get honor products at discounted prices. Specific phone models will also come with complimentary gifts upon purchase.“At honor Malaysia, we recognise the need for users wanting high quality devices at competitive prices. Today, honor Malaysia is pleased to make honor smartphones even more accessible to our fans and customers. Consumers can now purchase all honor products directly from the site, with faster and more secured service than ever,” Zhao said.A+M has reached out to honor Malaysia for additional details.This is not the first time honor Malaysia has made a push into e-commerce. In March this year, it struck a partnership with Lazada Malaysia to launch an official store on its platform, effective 2 April 2018. This is in a bid to continue its ongoing offerings in the e-commerce space.Most recently, the company also made an entry into the Indonesia market, striking strategic partnerships to enhance the experiences in the space of music, gaming, photography and video creation.This includes Joox, live-stream apps, namely Bigo Live, Live.me and Nonolive, as well as Tik Tok, a short video app in Indonesia, in a bid to communicate with young generation Indonesian consumers. Other partnerships include VNG, the distributor of the top-chart battle royale game Rules of Survival, which sees honor sponsoring gaming tournaments, as well as photo-editing app Camera360 Ultimate.
