The Hong Kong delegation at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games achieved great success, resulting in a number of brands rolling out celebrations with them and the community. More recently, Hongkong Post has released a stamp sheet and philatelic products to congratulate their achievements.

To celebrate the outstanding results of Hong Kong's athletes, Hongkong Post will issue a commemorative stamp sheet containing a set of five newly designed stamps, showcasing the events of fencing, swimming, table tennis, karate and track cycling. All of the Olympic medallists will be featured in the commemorative stamp collection, including fencer Edgar Cheung, swimmer Siobhan Haughey, karateka Grace Lau, cyclist Sarah Lee, as well as the table tennis trio of Doo Hoi-kem, Minnie Soo, and Lee Ho-ching.

Hongkong Post is accepting advance orders of these new products, which are expected to be released on 28 October.

Meanwhile, Hongkong Post is planning another batch of stamps to celebrate the success of athletes competing at the Paralympic Games. The Hong Kong athletes won a total of five medals, including two silvers and three bronzes, in boccia, badminton and table tennis. Hongkong Post said more information will be released at a later stage.

Previously, a lot of brands celebrated Hong Kong athletes' success at the Olympic Games. For example, IKEA Hong Kong published a post with an image to promote its artificial flower Smycka right after Edgar Cheung's triumph. The writer of the post said, "Although I am just a flower, I am proud to have the same initial as foil! Add 'foil' Cheung!" In Hong Kong, the term "add oil" is often used to show support to others, and this post played a pun on "add foil" to support Cheung.

Also, transportation services companies, such as MTR, KMB and Cathay Pacific, provided athletes participating in the Olympic Games with free tickets or various offers. KMB even redecorated the exteriors of two buses to celebrate Hong Kong athletes' success.
