Hill+Knowlton Strategies will unify its 16 operations across Asia into one regional structure, to be led by Vivian Lines as Asia Pacific chairman.
Lines’ previous role was global vice chair, global head of practices and co-lead of client service. Prior to being moved into a global role, Lines was leading Asia-Pacific as president and chief operating officer.
Leadership in the region will remain the same with John Morgan to remain president and Asia CEO; Ye Yu and Ivy Soonthornsima as co-presidents of China; Paul Plowman, as CEO of Australia; Radhika Shapoorjee, as president of South Asia; and Sara Gourlay as COO of India. Alan Thompson will become CFO of APAC and Veronica Tan HR director of APAC.
All will report to Lines, who will be based in Singapore. Lines will also retain his client services role.
Jack Martin, global chairman and CEO of Hill+Knowlton Strategies, said Lines was well placed for the role, having spend years as head of the firm’s APAC operation.
“We will see continued growth and excellent client service from our offices in this region.”
The global practice head role will be filled on a rotating basis annually from amongst H+K’s global practice leaders, beginning in 2014 with Joe Eyer, who is also the firm’s global public affairs practice co-leader, said a note in H+K Strategies’ release.
