Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K), the first international PR agency to open its doors in China 34 years ago, has expanded its footprint with the opening of a new office in Shenzhen, adding to existing operations in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong.
Florence Ouyang, previously global communications director for TCL Communication, has joined as director to lead the South China team, bringing more than 18 years of experience to the role.
H+K China president and CEO, QC Liang, commented, “Florence’s appointment and our opening in Shenzhen formalizes work we already have underway with some of China’s biggest brands in Shenzhen, helping them achieve their domestic and global ambitions and giving them access to the best of Hill+Knowlton Strategies internationally.”
Fiona Parker, H+K APAC regional technology director, adds: “Shenzhen is called the Silicon Valley of China for a reason. It’s an incredible tech and innovation hub, developing at a rapid pace. With our strengthened tech capabilities and teams across southern China we’re excited for H+K Shenzhen to play a key part of that service offering.”
Fiona continues, “As well as supporting key players in the tech world, the Pearl River Delta region is increasingly important for us when it comes to fintech – a space where we’re seeing rapid growth as we bring together our deep expertise in technology combined with H+K’s experienced financial services team in Hong Kong.”
