Creative studio, Hello Monday has joined digital agency, Dept, to broaden its global reach. Now part of Dept, Hello Monday will continue to operate under the leadership of its founders, Johanne Bruun Rasmussen and Jeppe Aaen, Andreas Anderskou, and Anders Jessen. Currently, Hello Monday has a team of over 50 experts in New York, Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Amsterdam.

Founded in 2006, Hello Monday specialises in creating immersive digital experiences and innovative digital products for global brands such as Google, Lego, Intel, YouTube, National Geographic and Meta. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Hello Monday for additional information.

“When we started Hello Monday in small-town Denmark 15 years ago, we never dreamt that our love-child-boutique-studio would one day become a fearless teenager touring the world's creative stages," said Rasmussen. Over the years, the agency had a lot of organisations reaching out for a partnership. However, Rasmussen added that the agency always said no as it did not feel right. Dept on the other hand, felt different.

"Dept is a good culture fit, and Dept wants to help us with the many operational tasks we’ve realised a teenage agency needs. In short, Dept is enabling us to do more of what we love the most: the creative work. And we believe this is key to keeping Mondays exciting for another 15 years," Rasmussen explained.

Meanwhile, CEO of Dept, Dimi Albers, said Hello Monday is known across the world for its creativity and work. "But that's not all; we always say that the most important thing when we’re looking for agencies to join Dept is the culture fit, and Hello Monday really ticks every box,” Albers said. Dept loves the fact that the Hello Monday team is dedicated to using its skill for good. At the same time, its creative talent will accelerate the growth of its creative experience practice across America, Europe and APAC, Albers explained.

Since its opening in 2015, Dept has grown across the globe, from 150 people in The Netherlands to more than 2,500 people in seventeen countries across five continents. Up to date, the agency has worked with brands such as Pantagonia, ASOS, Bose, Google, KFC, Triumph Motorcycles and Nikon. Last December, it appointed Vishnu Mohan, formerly CEO at Havas Group for Southeast Asia, India and North Asia, as partner and growth officer to oversee the Asia-wide rollout and expansion of Dept’s offerings.

Just last week, the digital agency launched the Metaverse Practice, comprising a team of around 100 crypto and blockchain developers, games builders, 3D artists and creators, virtual and augmented reality experts and software engineers. According to Dept, the team spent the last year pioneering innovative Web3 and metaverse experiences for clients. Since the launch, the agency has been working with global brands from fashion, entertainment and commerce, and plans to launch a number of new projects, ranging from immersive experiences to NFT marketplaces, in the coming weeks.
