Head of SPH creative and content arm Sweet’s Damien Bray exits

The head of Singapore Press Holdings’ (SPH) creative and content marketing unit Sweet, Damien Bray (pictured) has resigned and is currently serving his notice. He confirmed to Marketing that he will officially leave his role as chief sweet officer at the end of October.Bray, who has led Sweet for over a year, said in a statement to Marketing that the departure was a personal decision to focus more on himself as well as his family and friends after working at “entrepreneur intensity for 35 years”. He was previously the CEO of SPH subsidiary Brand New Media Asia for over a decade, from 2006 to 2018. Bray also has some 25 years of experience in operating marketing service agencies.“I’m looking forward to travelling for pleasure and new experiences and not meetings. I’m also planning to produce a documentary film that’s been in my head for years,” Bray said. Marketing has reached out to SPH for more details on his replacement.In July 2018, SPH launched Sweet to strengthen its alliance with agencies and clients. It aims to meet with increasing demand among clients for integrated storytelling across a range of multimedia formats, which has seen steady growth in recent years.Leading a team of 110, Sweet was positioned to deliver solutions in content, creative, branding, events, advertising campaigns and inbound marketing through deep strategic thinking executed by creative talents.
