Havas Worldwide Siren names new general manager

Havas Worldwide Siren has appointed Anna Chew as general manager to oversee the 14-person agency.

The appointment comes as Jacob Puthenparambil, director communication strategy exits the role after spending a little over a year at Havas Worldwide Siren. Karen Flynn, managing director of Havas Worldwide Siren confirmed the move to Marketing and added that the agency is not looking for a replacement.

Meanwhile, Chew will oversee the operations of the agency, providing senior level consultancy for integrated communications, and take charge of growing the agency’s portfolio. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Chew has worked for MNCs and government agencies, and was one of the pioneers in the Malaysian internet and mobile content industry. Chew is also the founder of the media site VenusBuzz.

She brings a wealth of experience in senior public relations consultancy and marketing communication. Her experience in working with clients such as Mercedes Benz, Magnum 4D, Hong Leong Bank, Colgate Palmolive, CapitaLand and various government linked companies (GLCs) has provided her with the expertise to deliver strategic communications advice for companies operating in today’s competitive environment.

Flynn said: “We are confident that Chew will be able to bring the agency’s business to greater heights and provide the right direction and mentorship to the team.”
