Hakuhodo Hong Kong names creative and media leaders

Hakuhodo Hong Kong has bolstered its team and hired Mike Chiu (Left) as creative head and Cedric Lam as media head.

Cedric Lam, former general manager at PHD Hong Kong, has over 20 years experience in media industry. He was also one of the key members to establish PHD Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Mike Chiu has worked for various 4As agencies. Prior to the new appointment, he was previously group creative director at Publicis Hong Kong for five years.

Both positions are newly created roles, and they will be working closely with its general manager, Winnie Lam, to provide innovative integrated advertising solutions to clients.

“I am so delighted to have Cedric and Mike joining Hakuhodo HK. With their diverse expertise and experience. I strongly believe the new leadership team can create and deliver more innovative thinking and integrated ideas for our clients. We will further strengthen our team to deliver our one-stop advertising solutions to all perspective clients,” said Shinji Okada, MD of the advertising agency.

“It’s a year of expansion for Hakuhodo. I’m really excited to be joining the team and expanding the agency’s creative power to help clients to tell their stories from a more holistic perspective—by connecting the real world to the digital world,” said Chiu.

Lam said, “Here in Hakuhodo, everyone from different departments works closely as one team. Media planning and buying can no longer being single out but must be integrated as an indispensable part of our one-stop advertising solutions to our client.”
