Hakuhodo’s strategic operating unit Kyu has made a complete acquisition of creative agency Sid Lee, and a 49 % stake in Sid Lee Architecture.
Sid Lee has offices in six cities in Canada, the Netherlands, France and the US.
The agency provides services such as advertising, architecture, digital marketing, social marketing, interior design, content, branding, customer relationship marketing and data analysis, and events and store activation. The agency, has around 550 professionals.
According to a statement from Hakhodo, digitalisation and globalisation have made the marketing activities that companies carry out more complex and sophisticated world-wide. This has spurred innovation in marketing methods and the development. Hence, the acquisition will be a “key driver of growth in its new medium-term business plan”.
Hakuhodo also recently acquired US-based digital agency Digital Kitchen.
