Guinness scores with Premier League trophy showcase at Pavilion KL

Guinness wrapped up a weekend of football excitement at Pavilion KL, where fans celebrated the arrival of the Premier League trophy with exclusive experiences, merchandise, and complimentary Guinness for eligible participants.

Held from 22 to 24 August, the event marked Guinness’ role as the official beer of the Premier League and brought together thousands of fans for a three-day celebration.

The weekend began with a ceremonial "Guard of honour", featuring 100 football fans selected to welcome the Premier League trophy in a vibrant display of team spirit. Dressed in football jerseys, Guinness scarves, and caps, fans celebrated the game beyond club rivalries. Each participant received a professional photo with the trophy, exclusive Guinness merchandise, and a complimentary Guinness.


As part of the fanfare, attendees also took part in the opening ceremony, which included a red carpet, the draught mascot, cheerleaders, and a marching band, all accompanying the trophy to its podium at the Elite entrance of Pavilion KL.

Throughout the weekend, over 3,000 Guinness draughts were redeemed by eligible fans who donned their favourite team jerseys, filmed cinematic slow-motion videos with the trophy, and shared their moments on social media with the hashtag #lovelydayforaguinness.


As part of the campaign, Guinness Malaysia collaborated with content creators including Tata Wan Qian (@tatatawanqian), Xiao Ying (@xiaoooying7), and local comedian Kavin Jay (@kavinjay) to generate online buzz. Fans also shared photos of themselves with the trophy to participate in the complimentary Guinness draught redemption

Just last week, the brand wrapped up its chief pint officer campaign, and officially named its first-ever CPOs, a role designed to celebrate quality, passion, and the perfect pour. From hundreds of entries nationwide, ten finalists battled it out for the coveted title at the grand finale held at Arthur’s Storehouse in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. At the end of the competition, three winners emerged, with one of them earning an all-expenses-paid trip to the iconic Guinness Storehouse in Dublin.
