Grab Malaysia is marking this year’s National Day with a heartfelt tribute to the people who drive its platform. The super app has released a music video titled “Keranamu Malaysia” (Because of you, Malaysia), a celebration of the innovation, collaboration, and resilience that define its community of users, partners, and employees.
Premiered on 24 August 2025, the video shines a spotlight on the Malaysians behind the brand. From driver- and delivery-partners to the local teams building and localising Grab’s technology. The initiative is part of Grab’s #GrabBersamaMalaysia movement, reflecting the company’s commitment to inclusive, data-driven solutions that are built for the nation.

“This music video is our way of honouring the extraordinary Malaysians who make Grab what it is today,” said Ko Li Ping, head of marketing at Grab Malaysia. “The spotlight is on the people behind the innovations, from mapping the nation’s roads to making our platform work better for everyone.”
The video also highlights Grab’s efforts to create tech features that meet everyday needs, such as Family Account, Group Order, GrabMaps, and services from sister companies GXBank and Jaya Grocer. Through these innovations, Grab continues to find ways to make daily life simpler while empowering its partners and customers.
The music video reimagines the iconic “Keranamu Malaysia” melody with a humorous, relatable twist. Instead of the familiar line “Buruh, nelayan dan juga petani. Gaya hidup kini dah berubah,” the lyrics cheekily switch to “Di mana blok B? Bukan ke di situ? Apakah maksud Blok B-3A?” — opening with a GrabFood partner hilariously lost while searching for the right block.
The upbeat chorus brings the energy higher, featuring a group of Grab jacket-clad Malaysians waving flags while singing about how, “Keranamu,” Grab has built its apps, features, and services to better serve the nation. Adding a playful touch, a tiny Grab motorbike emoji bounces along the karaoke lyrics throughout the music video.
Beyond the music video, Grab is reinforcing its role in celebrating Malaysia’s cultural richness through its ongoing partnership with Tourism Malaysia. The collaboration encourages both locals and tourists to discover Malaysia’s beauty, from using Grab rides to explore iconic landmarks, to sampling local favourites via GrabFood. The partnership will extend into the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, where Grab will work alongside Tourism Malaysia and corporate partners to spotlight the country’s unique culinary and cultural experiences on a global scale.
Grab Malaysia is also making its presence felt at this year’s National Day Parade in Putrajaya on 31 August, as well as state parades in Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, Kuantan, and Penang. The activations will feature driver- and delivery-partners, along with employees from Grab Malaysia, GXBank, and Jaya Grocer, embodying the theme of innovation and community.
Brands around the country have also released their festive films. Petronas unveiled With all our hearts, a story that revisits the enduring significance of the Rukun Negara (National Principles) as a unifying pledge for all Malaysians. Directed by Ismail Kamarul, who has helmed multiple Petronas festive productions, the film takes viewers into the everyday warmth of a Malaysian classroom.
Meanwhile, FedEx Malaysia released a heartwarming Merdeka Day video titled “Different strangers. One conversation. Endless Malaysian pride”, capturing the rich linguistic diversity that unites the nation. The seven-minute-long video opens with strangers meeting one another, speaking in each other’s mother tongues, and sharing candid conversations about their favourite things about Malaysia, from local foods to cherished cultural traditions.
