GO-JEK names marketing lead in SG, picks BLKJ as creative agency

GO-JEK has named Archishman Ramasubramanian, VP-head of marketing in Singapore and also appointed BLKJ as its creative agency. GO-JEK has confirmed both the moves to Marketing. Ramasubramanian was last regional brand manager, strategy and campaigns of Uber for a year. Prior to that, he worked with P&G in the regional brand management role across APAC.

BLKJ is currently led by co-founders Rowena Bhagchandani, Joji Jacob, Lester Lee and Khalid Osman. Its list of clients include StarHub, Scoot, The Learning Lab, Singapore Hospice Council and Johnnie Walker.

Meanwhile, Bhagchandani in a statement to Marketing said: “BLKJ is privileged to be helping GO-JEK launch its services in Singapore. We have the very rare opportunity to launch a brand from scratch and I can assure the readers that they can look forward to some very exciting work coming from our teams in the very near future.”

Most recently, GO-JEK announced its plans to launch its beta mobile app in Singapore ahead of Christmas, offering selected consumers the option to begin booking rides. During the beta-testing period, GO-JEK will be encouraging commuters to provide feedback on the app and enhancing its operations to “better satisfy” consumers.
