Go jek pushes further into the healthcare space with acquisition

Go Jek, an Indonesian hyperlocal transport, logistics and payments startup founded in 2010, has acquired Bengaluru based Pianta, which specialised in home service. According to an article on Economic Times, the acquisition is the company’s first foray into the health care sector.In a statement to the newspaper, Sidu Ponnappa, managing director, Go Jek Engineering India said that the company will launch an on-demand health care product which might have on demand delivery and logistics needs, which Pianta specialises in.He added that Pianta's core team comes from Ola and Flipkart and their expertise in the logistics and payments sector is well aligned with the goals plans of the company in the next quarter.Go-Jek, has also recently widen its range of offerings with the inclusion of Go-Med, an online medical service in Indonesia.
