Glenfiddich launches interactive game to tell brand story

Scottish whisky brand Glenfiddich launched an interactive tasting event, showcasing its brand story as an established distillery.Under the theme of solving a detective’s case, Glenfiddich invited guests to interact with actors to analyse clues and threads left by suspects to reveal the truth of the missing Glenfiddich bottle. The interactive game was aimed to showcase the distillery’s path to establish its name in the single malt category.Glenfiddich reconstructed a scene from 1963 in Scotland at a farewell party for Sandy Grant Gordon, the great-grandson of Glenfiddich’s founder William Grant. Gordon had a vision to promote the brand in foreign counties, but before his journey to the US, he lost the bottle which was crucial to the tour. Without it, it was going to be extremely difficult for Glenfiddich to gain attention and fame in other countries.At the end of the interactive game, the winner who had solved the case was awarded a bottle of Glenfiddich 12 Year Old. Another consumer session will be held in late July.
