Cruz will front the brand's Autumn/Winter 2023 campaign which was created by photographer and director Gray Sorrenti, it said on its site. The collection includes boots and coats aimed at fostering comfort, style and versatility.
"This new chapter aims to blend our innovative spirit with Penélope Cruz's timeless beauty and style. Two seemingly distant universes, yet so close and in perfect harmony with the authenticity that defines Geox," said Geox on the appointment.
It added that the collection was meant to make users feel free to feel good and look good in everyday life. "Experience this feeling on this new journey together with Penélope Cruz, our new brand ambassador," it said.
Chiming in, Cruz said: "Very excited to join Geox as their new brand ambassador. Feeling good and looking good without giving up on comfort is easy with Geox . Also, looking forward to sharing with you all in the near future the capsule collection that Monica Cruz and I created together for the brand," she said, referencing the line that was created in tandem with her sister.
Cruz is not the only global star to front a fashion campaign in recent weeks. Just last week, fashion brand Bally appointed South Korean SEVENTEEN star as its new global ambassador.
The artist first appeared exclusively in Bally’s Fall/Winter 2023 show which happened in February this year and has maintained close relations with the brand ever since.
Bally reportedly chose Lee because he is widely recognized for his casual elegance and global appeal as a singer.
