Garuda Indonesia soars to the top spot in brand health rankings

Garuda Indonesia has again topped YouGov BrandIndex's annual brand health rankings for Indonesia. In a list featuring a large number of global brands, the home-bound airline came up top once more for the second year in a row.

In the rankings, the airlines is ahead of search giant Google in second, water brand Aqua coming in third, and instant noodle brand Indomie in fourth position. Streaming service YouTube came in fifth, just ahead of electronics company Samsung, which took the sixth spot.

The list is rounded out by dishwashing product Sunlight (seventh), dairy beverage Yakult (eighth), toothpaste product Pepsodent (ninth) and vehicle manufacturer Honda (10th).

The rankings are based on YouGov BrandIndex’s Index score, which measures overall brand health. The score takes into account consumers’ perception of a brand’s overall quality, value, impression, reputation, satisfaction and whether consumers would recommend the brand to others. Chinese electronics company Huawei is in third, having seen its score rise by +7.7 over the last year. The top five is completed by sportswear brand adidas with an increase of +7.6 points and social media platform Instagram seeing a rise by +7.4 points.

While Amazon remains sixth on the list, IKEA and LEGO enter the rankings at number seven and 10, respectively.
