Gamuda Land and Maxis partner to deliver 5G township for Gamuda Cove

7 township in Kota Kemuning.Gamuda Land, Malaysia's converged communications and digital services company, and Maxis have partnered to create Malaysia’s first Maxis-delivered 5G township for Gamuda Cove, Gamuda Land’s latest township development upon the country's launch of 5G network.  Gamuda Land will work with Maxis to fibre up parts of Gamuda Cove with its high-speed broadband connectivity.

According to the press release, the partnership will also see both parties exploring smart city and smart retailing solutions across all of Malaysia's Gamuda Land townships. The term “smart city” refers to the use of technologies to solve urban issues through transformative and engaged efforts. Both companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Maxis to provide and deploy 5G network infrastructure and services in Gamuda Cove in the future.

Maxis and Gamuda Land previously partnered in 2018 to provide a customised MaxisOne Home fibre plan for Gamuda Land’s twentyfive.7 township in Kota Kemuning.

CEO of Gamuda Land, Ngan Chee Meng said "This MoU is a crucial step for us towards developing smart sustainable city in Gamuda Land townships. It is about smart planning ahead and visualising long-term growth for our townships"

He added that Gamuda Land’s masterplan blueprint needs to be flexible to adopt new technologies in mobility and lifestyle and this is where Maxis’ expertise in network infrastructure and services will add value to Gamuda Land’s townships.
