
FWD extends #stayhomemoments to provide free COVID-19 coverage to HKT customers

In reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic, insurance companies in Hong Kong have been offering discounted or free protections to more of the city's citizens. FWD Hong Kong had already made a splash with its own #stayhomemoment campaign but has now taken the bold step of partnering with HKT to offer free protections to the telecommunications company's customers.
Customers of HKT's mobile network of brands including 1O1O, CSL, and the online shopping platform Club Like will receive free protection, along with select members of rewards programme The Club. FWD Hong Kong has also extended this promotion to registered children who reside with these customers.
The offer will be made available through a designated registration link when customers make a purchase or take advantage of redemptions using the stores, websites, or apps of these brands.
Jeff Wong, chief agency officer of FWD Hong Kong and Macau (pictured second on the left at home with his family) said, “FWD is committed to serving our community and we want to support those in need in our city through different means. Offering complimentary COVID-19 protections demonstrates our care and spirit and we continue to seek more like-minded partners to work with. The protection offer has already benefited many thousands of Hong Kong citizens. We’re delighted to see the overwhelming response to our campaign within such a short period of time since its launch and the participation rate is increasing daily."
This latest initiative builds on the #stayhomemoments protection campaign established with Foodpanda in late April, wherein the insurer offered all Foodpanda delivery staff and employees free COVID-19 protection as a token of appreciation, supporting their efforts in serving Hong Kong's hungry citizens. Customers of Foodpanda were also eligible to claim protections as FWD Hong Kong hoped to encourage citizens to stay at home amid the current crisis.
