Former head of digital, CRM and partnership for TGV Cinemas, May Phuah, has joined The dUCk Group as its head of marketing. With over 20 years of online and offline marketing, business development, and partnership experience under her belt, Phuah (pictured) said on LinkedIn that she has seen what it takes to thrive in the eCommerce business and customer industry.

Prior to joining The dUCk Group, Phuah was TGV Cinemas' head of digital, CRM, and partnership for three years. During her time there, she led a team of 10 members and managed all corporate marketing functions with an annual budget, which includes product/store launch, collateral, advertising, branding, events, digital initiatives, and improvement projects, her LinkedIn said. Under her leadership, the company experienced two times the growth of online sales, according to her LinkedIn. Phuah was also a senior manager, CRM, and affiliate partnership at Korean shopping platform 11STREET for more than a year. While she was there, Phuah managed the direct channels marketing such as EDM, app push, and social media. A+M has reached out to FashionValet for additional information for her new role.

Similarly, The dUCk Group, a brand under FashionValet, also saw a change in its creative leadership with the appointment of Jacky Hussein as its creative director last month. Jacky previously helmed the role of creative group head at Leo Burnett Malaysia. She said to A+M that she will be focusing on delivering brand consistency across its products and translating the brand through compelling storytelling across the different channels, from Instagram to TikTok.

The dUCk Group also tied up with Hasbro recently for a limited-edition MONOPOLY board game as well as a collection of scarves and fashion accessories such as bags and keychains. Founder Vivy Yusof said the company is the first Malaysian and modest fashion brand globally to partner with Hasbro on its Monopoly series. Through the game, Vivy aims to inspire individuals to discover and chase after ambitions while cherishing friends and family.
