Former Havas Group Indonesia chief Anwesh Bose forms advisory firm

Anwesh Bose, former Havas Group Indonesia president director, has launched his marketing and advertising advisory firm The Academy Consulting. Bose told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that the market is suffering from a problem of plenty. "Too many media options has meant that there is too much content. This not only confuses the consumers but also means that content is not sharp-focused enough on brand outcomes," he said.

He added that it is this pain point of the marketers that The Academy Consulting aims to address. "We would shepherd and be the guardians of effective outcome of the content," he said.

Meanwhile in a LinkedIn post, Bose (pictured) said The Academy Consulting is a strategic advisory that will straddle the gap before and after content creation, with the sole purpose of driving marketing effectiveness.

"Our team is a group of experience-heavy, involved and engaged professionals who have proven their excellence in their respective domains," he said. According to Bose, the believers who are backing The Academy Consulting have been in the business of multi-platform advertising content, branded entertainment, and branded content, among others, for almost two decades in Asia. 

Bose was previously CEO of Whisper Media, an adtech venture of EMTEK Group, for more than a year. Despite his stint at Whisper being his "shortest professionally", Bose added in a separate LinkedIn post that it was a very successful and meaningful one. Thanking founder Manav Kapoor for the opportunity, Bose said every team member contributed their bit with passion and commitment and the team was ably supported in equal measure by the management. Whisper Media works with companies including Channel 8, toggle, Nielsen, and Kantar, among others. 

Prior to his role at Whisper Media, Bose was the president director (CEO) of Havas Indonesia. He left the company in November 2019 after close to six years with the network. Bose took on the role in January 2018 and was previously the CEO of Havas Media Group for more than a year, and MD for over two years. He also worked at DDB MudraMax, dentsu Asia and Media Pros India.
