foodpanda confirms Instagram account hack after customer gets insulted

foodpanda Singapore has confirmed that its official Instagram account was hacked over the weekend after screenshots of a conversation between the verified Instagram account and customer caught the attention of many. In the screenshots, the customer was seen tagging foodpanda in her Instagram Stories to complain over a delay in order. The hacker however, responded to her rants with "f**k you bitch" and "suck my d**k".

To assure users it was not the company's doing, foodpanda confirmed and apologised for the hack through a Facebook post. On its post, the food delivery company said it apologises for any inappropriate messages customers might have received during this time. While it is working to resolve this issue, foodpanda has also asked users to not respond to any activity from the Instagram account until the issue is resolved.

foodpanda's Instagram account has been wiped out, with only two videos uploaded by the hacker today. The account's bio has also been changed to "OSAMA" with an Arabic phrase that translates to "I am the last of his time".

foodpanda has not responded to Marketing's queries. At the time of writing, foodpanda's Instagram account had been wiped clean with no bio descriptions, pictures and videos that was initially changed by the hacker.
